Terms of Service
Welcome to Sit Refreshed Upholstery. By accessing our website or engaging our artisan services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions:
1. Scope of Service
Sit Refreshed Upholstery is a solo artisan home studio specializing strictly in small-format residential furniture restoration (dining seats, accent chairs, benches, and ottomans). We do not service large-scale furniture items such as sectionals, sofas, or automotive/marine interiors.2. Estimates, Deposits, and Payments
All initial digital estimates are non-binding approximations based on client-provided photos and measurements. A project is only officially booked into our workshop queue upon receipt of a non-refundable 50% upfront deposit. The remaining 50% balance, alongside any agreed logistics or material additions, is due strictly upon completion and prior to or at the time of final pickup/delivery.3. Customer's Own Material (COM) Policy
If a client chooses to provide their own fabric rather than sourcing through our curated studio accounts, a flat $25 COM fee will apply per project. Sit Refreshed Upholstery reserves the right to reject client-provided fabrics that are deemed physically unsuitable for furniture stretching, tensioning, and stapling. We hold zero liability for the wear timeline or fraying of client-supplied textiles.4. Unclaimed Furniture Policy
Completed furniture pieces must be picked up (or delivery scheduled) within 14 calendar days of project completion notification. Items left unclaimed beyond 30 calendar days will incur a storage fee of $10 per day. Items left completely unclaimed after 60 calendar days will be considered abandoned property and may be sold or disposed of to recover material and workshop labor costs.5. Hidden Frame Defect Discovery
Internal frame integrity cannot be evaluated until the physical "tear-down" phase begins. If structural wood rot, cracked dowels, or severe frame failure is uncovered beneath old padding, work will pause. We will notify the client immediately to discuss repair labor add-ons or referral logistics before proceeding.6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina.Effective Date: July 19, 2026
